I had called my Broker, Charles Schwab, about an entry in a monthly statement and spoke to a very nice gentleman named Glynn. We talked for quite a while after the calls issue was sorted out, with me telling him about my wife and Iosing our house to the Tubbs fire in October of '17 and how we escaped with just the clothes on our backs and our cat. We drove out through a wall of flames.
He was a really nice guy and I can kind of ramble on if you let me, and he sure did! I was on the phone with him for almost an hour.
Yesterday I received a box from UPS with a return address of Carebox on it. I had no idea what it was, I hadn't ordered anything from them, so what the heck? It had Christine Curavo's card in it and a card from Glynn and Charles Schwab, that said "My condolences for losing your home to a wildfire. I really enjoyed hearing about your life and wish you,your wife and your cat the best" Signed by Glynn and Charles.
I was in tears. What a kind thing for a guy in a call center to do. I don't really know what to say, but thank you from the bottom of my heart. I never expected anything like this from a call to my stock broker.
