Time Heals Most Everything

Christine Curavo

When I first started writing a blog, I was healing from the unexpected loss of both parents.  All I could think about were different ways to comfort people suffering with an illness—and I created a line of gifts to address their discomfort.

I still miss them everyday, but I have had a chance to get back to my own life which is filled with places to see, gifts to give and the beauty of everyday life. Please join me in my travels as I search the globe for inspiration and do my best to develop creative gift ideas that complement every situation.

TRAVELOGUE ONE — FORT WORTH, TEXAS

I just got home from a conference in Fort Worth, Texas.  To be honest, I wasn't excited to see this part of the world, but WOW, I was so surprised to see such striking art and architecture.  The Dallas Cowboy football Stadium alone is a masterpiece.

Look at this football light fixture in the Dallas Cowboy Club level. The little chandaliers are in the shape of football ties.

The Museum of Modern Art is home to one of the finest art collections and is widely recognized as one of the most significant works of architecture in recent times.  It is home to a variety of outstanding works of art.

There is a simple water park in the middle of the city. I thought it was amazing how I could walk down inside the water sculpture.

Every city has its tourist part of town, Forth Worth has Billy Bob's. Despite its huge size and theatrical attractions, I found it worth taking a look at—the architecture was stunning...and then there were the cowboy boots.

I

Isn't it incredible when a city takes you by surprise?

I hope you enjoy my new Fall gifts, including Johana Basford's masterpiece: Enchanted Forest—a coloring book for adults on carebox.com
